Introducing the 870
We're a team of passionate thinkers and doers, dedicated to building with purpose and clarity. Collaboration and curiosity drive everything we do. Our process is simple, thoughtful, and designed with your experience in mind. We believe great results come from clear steps, open collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose.
LESS. BUT BETTER
Built from the ground up with purpose—not parts. Every detail is dialed in for one thing: pure, unfiltered typing satisfaction. No compromises. Just control, precision, and soul.
CLARITY & COHERENCE
Designed in-house at ORI, a singular design language flows seamlessly from form to function—unifying case, layout, and typing experience with unwavering clarity and quiet intention.
Form and Function
The 870 isn’t our first keyboard—but it is the first of a new design language that will define ORI for years to come.
Built not for trends, but for longevity: every detail is chosen for how it performs, how it endures, and how it feels—day after day.
This marks the beginning of our core series. Meanwhile, the CLS Series will be reserved exclusively for complex, limited-run designs that push boundaries beyond daily use.
The housing of the 870 is made from CNC machined 6063 aluminium, that has been bead blasted and anodized for a smooth and durable finish.
Precision in every curve
All critical edges of the chassis are finished with G3 continuity—the highest standard of geometric smoothness. The result is a seamless transition between surfaces that feels as refined as it looks, offering a tactile harmony your fingers will notice the moment they meet the frame.
ORI 870 colour ways

FUMO
Smoke over metal. The translucent plate catches light like dusk on glass — you see through it, never fully. Internals left exposed on purpose.

NERO
Black through and through, no undertone, no shift in the light. The most complete way to disappear.

The ORI 870 is designed to support both MX-style and HE (Hall Effect) switch formats.
We offer three official PCB variants for the ORI 870:
Soldered MX
Hot-swap MX
Hot-swap HE
As for third-party PCBs, we currently provide compatibility only with the HE-format PCB from Geon – Venom 80HE. Support for additional third-party boards may be evaluated in the future based on community demand and technical feasibility.
-
Absolutely.
Our ORI HE PCB natively supports 8000Hz polling rate and allows actuation point tuning down to 0.1mm—giving you unmatched responsiveness and precision for both typing and gaming. And yes: we’ve built a dedicated web-based configurator exclusively for the HE PCB. No desktop software, no drivers—just open your browser, connect your keyboard, and fine-tune everything from actuation points to debounce, per-switch calibration, and more.
-
The ORI 870 uses a bottom-mount plate design, with the plate isolated from the case using precision-tuned O-rings.
This setup ensures a consistent and stable foundation across the entire keyboard—minimizing flex while maintaining structural integrity. Crucially, it provides the rigid, vibration-free platform that Hall Effect (HE) switches demand to deliver pinpoint accuracy, even in extreme configurations down to 0.1mm actuation points. With no mechanical wobble or shifting over time, every keystroke remains true to your calibration.

The ORI 870 will launch via Group Buy (GB) and is not limited in quantity—anyone who places an order during the Group Buy window will be fulfilled.
All participants who order during the active Group Buy period will receive an exclusive bonus:
✅ One complimentary aluminum plate included with their barbone kit. After the Group Buy concludes and all GB orders have been shipped, we’ll maintain ongoing stock for immediate purchase. However, retail stock will come with limitations:
Only select colorways will be available (not disclosed in advance),
And the free aluminum plate will no longer be included.
So if you want full color options and the full launch offer, join the Group Buy while it’s open!
-
Our best-case scenario is 3 months from the close of the Group Buy.
However, depending on final order volume and production complexity, we kindly ask for a window of up to two quarters (approximately 6 months) to ensure every unit meets our quality and craftsmanship standards. We’d rather take the time to get it right than rush and compromise—thank you for your trust and patience.
-
Yes, Winkeyless (WKL) will be available—but exclusively as an option for Group Buy participants.
After the Group Buy closes, we don’t plan to keep WKL in regular stock. So if you prefer a clean, compact layout without Windows keys, make sure to select it during the Group Buy window.
